The wwPDB is reviewing and prioritising its biocuration activities, in the face of potentially reduced staff capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During these uncertain times, the wwPDB is committed to providing as complete a service as possible to the depositor community however, as biocuration capacity is likely to be reduced during this period, some areas of PDB curation will need to be prioritised. The order of priorities is as follows:
- Release of PDB and EMDB entries
- Processing of new depositions
- Responding to communication from depositors
- Update of existing PDB and EMDB entries
These priorities will, first and foremost, continue to ensure the timely release of PDB entries and, particularly, ensure that new structures related to COVID-19 are available publicly as soon as possible.
