The front pages of the PDBe Knowledge Base (PDBe-KB) have been updated, providing a better experience for our users and making information about this resource and partners more easily accessible. To view the updated page, visit .

PDBe-KB is a community-driven resource managed by the PDBe team, collating functional annotations and predictions for structure data in the PDB archive. The redesign of the front page for PDBe-KB aims to streamline user access to the data. We have therefore reshaped ‘popular links into ‘quick links and page bookmarks to allow users to easily find some of the key services provided through PDBe-KB, including the PDBe graph database and the aggregated API.

PDBe-KB is a collaborative effort between PDBe and a diverse group of bioinformatics resources and research teams. In the redesign of these pages we aim to be more transparent about the annotations that we get from PDBe-KB partners, with details about the partners and the annotations they currently provide displayed via interactive graphs (see below image) and a world map. There is also dedicated information about how new partners can join this open consortium, and the benefits of being part of this global partnership.

PDBe-KB partner data displayed as graphs on the PDBe-KB pages
Data provided by PDBe-KB partners is now plotted on these pages, to highlight the data provided, the types of annotations available and how up-to-date the annotations are.

To better highlight how the resources from PDBe-KB can be used to answer scientific questions, we present case studies on these new pages to emphasise how this data can be used to support research. These practical examples highlight features on the PDBe-KB aggregated views of proteins pages, including structure superposition, secondary structure variance and more.

We encourage you to visit the new PDBe-KB pages at to explore the wealth of features available from this resource.
