The PDBe pages provide a number of tools and visualisations to support analysis and understanding of PDB structures, however sometimes it is still necessary for users to have access to the data files. We have now introduced a file download service, allowing users to easily download coordinates and related data for a specified subset of PDB entries.
For users wanting access to data files from multiple PDB entries, it was previously quite a time-consuming process to individually download coordinates and related data for a group of entries when using the PDBe search and entry pages. To address this, we have recently designed a download service that has a web user interface to enable scientists to download coordinates (archive mmCIF, updated mmCIF and PDB format), sequences (FASTA format), validation data and more.

This new service is available at /pdbe/download/api or from the ‘Popular links on the PDBe homepage ().
Using this data download service, it is easy to download coordinates, experimental data, validation information, sequences and residue-level SIFTS mappings for a list of PDB identifiers. The service also supports data related to small molecules, such as wwPDB Chemical Component Dictionary and coordinates in PDB and SDF format for a list of small molecule identifiers.
In addition, we also provide programmatic access to this download service, through a set of API endpoints. Documentation of this API is available at /pdbe/download/api/docs.
