The EMDataBank partners () are inviting interested scientists to register as participants or assessors in the 2015 EMDataBank Map Challenge.
Seven benchmark raw image datasets have been selected for the challenge and are available for download from PDBe's EMPIAR archive (). Six data sets are from recently described single-particle structure determinations with image data collected as multi-frame movies; one is based on simulated (in silico) images. Participants are challenged to create single-particle reconstructions from the raw data, and to upload their results with associated details. Assessors are needed to help evaluate the submitted reconstructions.
